Sports and recreation are an essential part of University and campus life. Students take full advantage of the warm, tropical climate, participating in outdoor activities such as snorkeling, swimming, and scuba diving in their free time. But sports at St. George’s University go beyond that as a result of a University commitment to provide facilities similar to any educational institution, anywhere.
A popular destination of AAU students, the gym is centrally located in the Student Center stocked with strength training and cardio equipment, as well as an Aerobics Center.
Warm weather all year round allows students to take part in swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, and a number of other outdoor activities.
Including basketball, volleyball, street hockey, dodgeball and several other sports, the intramural sports program at AAU continues to grow.
There are numerous fitness classes organized in the Aerobics Center including step aerobics, kickboxing, dance, martial arts and yoga.
