Recognizing Your Achievements

AAU has launched scholarship awards for students currently enrolled in the medical sciences program. These scholarships were designed to assist students with funding for medical school while also recognizing attributes that are central to the AAU mission and culture. The awards are listed below.

Social Accountability Award

The AAU Social Accountability Award recognizes students who have made contributions to the communities of St. Maarten during their medical sciences education. The award is given during the third, fourth, or fifth semester.

Student Engagement Award

The AAU Student Engagement Award recognizes students whose activities as part of the campus community have helped to enhance and foster the AAU culture of collaboration. The award is given during the third, fourth, or fifth semester.

Scholarship Fund

The Scholarship Fund strives to be part of the solution to bridge this financial gap by assisting students in defraying the cost of attending school. Currently enrolled AAU students who have earned at least 24 credit hours and meet scholarship requirements are eligible. Ten scholarships valued from $2,500 to $5,000 each will be awarded beginning in the 2015/16 academic year.
